In the midst of filming the second season of Wednesday, a new rumor surrounding actress Jenna Ortega and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs circulated on social media. On October 10, 2024, an Instagram page with the username @vibes_with_moonlight claimed that Ortega had landed the lead role in Wednesday by having an affair with Diddy.

The post, which has around 16.1k views at the time of writing, claimed that there was a video of the actress admitting this, adding that she also allegedly received $45 million for it.
However, this post is completely untrue. It referred to a “leaked video,” but neither the video itself nor any other version of it exists online. The rumor most likely arose from the rumors surrounding Ortega and Diddy, respectively. Netflix recently released a behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming season of Wednesday.
Wednesday, which focuses on the stoic daughter of The Addams Family, emerged as one of Netflix's hit series in 2022. During an interview with ScreenRant in May 2023, Wednesday creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said that Jenna Ortega was chosen as Wednesday Addams from a long list of potential actresses because of the accuracy of her performance.
